Such a cool dress! We've been seeing dresses with pockets a lot. I love it. You can pose much cooler with your hands in the pockets, lol. All my dresses had pockets when I was a kid. I didn't think of posing cooly. Instead I put rocks and candy in them.

Mini dresses

So dresses were huge last spring/summer. That's not going to change this year. They are even more dominant this year. But overall, the size is shrinking. Mini dresses are taking over! It is the bold, confident, and youthful look of the moment. If you have killer gams, you should definitely show them off in minis.

Guy's perspective - shoe or armor?

Who doesn't love punkass funky shoes once in a while? But I'd say this one has gone a little too far. My guy summed it up pretty good. I bring you a new installment of "Guy's Perspective".

Whoa easy there Xena Warrior Princess! Oh I'm sorry you're not Xena? Then what's with the crazy Amazonian Warrior clogs?

The rivets and leather on these shoes makes me think "Armor" not "Clothing". Perhaps it's geared towards the she-beast man-woman who likes to look her best when fighting hordes of barbarians. Although I guess the open face and straps would leave your instep and Achilles tendon vulnerable for attack.

Hmmm, maybe it's for the days when you hang up your sword and shield and decide to just lounge around the tribe's fire and have a relaxing day skinning animals or forging stuff.

All sarcasm aside these shoes look more like part of a costume than part of a wardrobe and my first thought if I saw you wearing these things is that you're probably a kinky girl. So if you're a kinky girl or you simply enjoy wearing armor, by all means go nuts. If however those two classifications don't apply to you I'd avoid these shoes.

I'm in love with these jeans. They aren't exactly black, more like a dark grey. I'm really into dark grey jeans lately, maybe because I don't have any, lol. These jeans are slim, make your legs look long and lean, and you can totally dress them up by pairing with high-shine pumps. (Love those black thick-heeled pumps by the way.) And these jeans are LOW-rise. I don't care if the high-waisted jeans are coming back. They make one's bum look long. Who wants a long bum?! Watch any movie from the 80's or mid-90's and you'll see. Low-rise jeans just help your bum look perkier.

Scary feet on the runway

Woah!! These are beautiful shoes. BUT the feet in them...MERCY!

Holy old leathery wrinkley foot! It probably belongs to a girl who's not even 20. Too much fake bake and not enough exfoliating and moisturizing? I'm sure walking the runway is a hard job day in and day out, that poor foot could really use some good care (I'm not being sarcastic :p). And the gnarly knuckles...but that's not her fault.

A toe hanging over the bottom of a sandal really irks me. It is just not attractive and lady-like, not to mention uncomfortable. (I see that in the summer more often than I like. The worst is when all 5 toes going over the edge...like talons). And I always assumed that models must have pretty pedicure. Well, these nails aren't pedicure-d. And I don't think her leg's shaved either.

A love story

I just happened to pick up this fantastic book called "The History of Love" by Nicole Krauss this close to Valentine's Day (I guess I got in the mood to read love stories). Wow what a beautiful book. Nicole Krauss is a brilliant young writer who writes such painfully beautiful words. I can say that it's the most memorable read for me in a long time (I churn through books so fast I forget the books I read). If you are in the mood for a great love story (in the season of love and romance), whether you're blissfully in love or lovesick, you'll be reminded that love is the most beautiful thing in the world.
