Black and White

So I learned that French women prefer subtle color combos, black and white being the perennial favorite. I saw plenty of black and white striped tops on the streets in Paris. (that's also the uniform of the waiters at cafes, hehe :) I walked by this Mango shop, it was all black and white outfits in their window. It's just chic, there's no way around it.

Q: Hi, I'm looking to purchase a nice bag for my wife (for our 1st anniversary), and I was wondering if you could help me with the decision. A: What a romantic gesture! Yes, I think Fendi Selleria Grand Borghese Bag $2190 is an absolutely lovely bag to add to your wife's bag collection. You're so right in wanting to get her a well-made and non-gimmicky bag. $1000 for a clear plastic bag is just insane, isn't it? The Grand Borghese's handles and shape are so classic and elegant. The logo is subdued, and the way it goes under the beautiful Signature equestrian topstitching is an interesting touch. The leather belt and the buckles with Fendi Selleria embroidery are lots of fun. They stand out more in white, which lends it to a younger look. But either white or black, you cannot go wrong. And at 15.5"x 13"x 6", it's a perfect size for her to have everything she needs during the day looking ever-so chic. Happy Anniversary!

Glamorous hats

The old-world glamorous big floppy hats are back this season! And they aren't for old ladies. I saw a few ladies in Paris in them and I was quite envious. My mom always tried to make me wear a big straw hat when I was a kid 'cause I'd sunburn too easily, and I'd always whine about it, lol. Now you don't have to tell me twice. I always put on suncreen and one of my bucket hats if I'm going to be in the sun for a while. This summer I'm going to look for a pretty straw hat with big brims. And you should too! Straw or cotton. Get one that suits the shape of your head and face, and you'll look sophisticated and get good sun protection.
