I drink many cups of tea everyday for the antioxidants, so I like anything that has tea extracts in it. So you can imagine how excited I am about Kiehl's new Yerba Maté Tea skincare line. It includes a cleanser, a toner and multi-tasking lighweight mosturizer that not only minimizes the appearance of fine lines but also boosts radiance and improves skin texture and clarity.
How does it work? It contains an extract of tea made from the yerba maté tree, an evergreen found in subtropical forests in Brazil, Paraguay and Argentina. Called "the drink of the gods" by locals, the tea is known for its ability to enhance vitality, reduce fatique and improve immune defences, thanks to a combination of 24 vitamins and minerals, 15 amino acids and 11 antioxidants. In fact, "Yerba maté is so rich in nutrients that it's considered one of the most potent antioxidants ever discovered," says Donna Paty, national education manager for Kiehl's. "It helps reverse the breakdown of collagen and helps skin maintain a healthy glow." Other ingredients include honey (seals in moisture), lemon (refreshes) and another tea called kombucha (helps smooth the skin). The products are oil-free and suitable for all skin types.

Sounds good? You gotta try it.
