Phillip Lim opens his first store in Soho

Phillip Lim opens his first store in Soho, at 115 Mercer Street. The look of his store is just like his clothes, simple, chic, elegant with intricate and unique details. The incredibly talented designer has garnered huge success in the only two years since his label 3.1 Phillip Lim was created. "At the opening of Mr. Lim’s first store in SoHo on Tuesday night, the actress Debra Messing, wearing a navy sack dress by the designer with a matching wide headband studded with tough-looking crystals, said she found out about him by scouring the credits of fashion magazines. Last month Mr. Lim won an emerging-talent award from the Council of Fashion Designers of America, which may have helped."

"This sounds cheesy,” Mr. Lim said, “but I wanted to show the beauty within.”

Doesn't sound cheesy to me at all. Are you going to check it out? Next time I go to NYC, I'll have to make sure I go there and perhaps try on a few things ;)

Now I'll just feast my eyes on his fall collection. You can pre-order them now at Nordstrom. *Sigh*.
