Banana shoes

Banana shoes -- a variation of the flats with elasticated sides -- are everywhere! We don't even know where they came from. They just popped up all of a sudden. All the designers are churning them out, Dior, Miu Miu, Marc Jacobs, etc. Stores like Gap are, too. They don't look so sexy just sitting there. When I first saw them in the stores, I thought they were quite funny-looking. Now they look kinda of cute to me. But how they look on your feet is the most important right? A friend of mine bought a pair and says they are super comfortable as they wrap her feet perfectly. Do you like them?
