Smell the armpits
When you buy vintage, do you smell the armpits of the clothes? That's the line that caught my eyes from the article Vintage could be the pits in Toronto Star.
"Look at the sweat stains," advises Latner, who launched her website vintagecouture.com eight years ago from her mid-town home. "B.O. doesn't come out in dry cleaning, especially if the fabric is synthetic. People might think it's grotesque to check out armpits but the odour can be obnoxious."

I always smell whatever I'm buying. I mean, I don't bury my face in it and take a big whiff but I always check for things like that.
