My new shiny hair

Yay no more Diana Ross hair for me! Don't take it the wrong way. On Diana Ross, it's totally fab. On me, it was an explosion. So I got my hair straightened. Some of you asked to see some pictures. If you suffer from the same problem as me, especially in the summer when the humidity is our biggest enemy, I strongly recommend getting the straightening done. I recommend going to a Chinese, Korean or Japanese hair salon because hair straightening has been popular for a long time in Asia. They've perfected it. They call it ionic straightening or something. I don't know the science behind it. But it's magic. You would not believe how silky, smooth, and straight your hair turned out to be! You and your honey and everybody else would not stop touching it. The best part for me is I don't have to do anything, just wash and go and it never messes itself up. Saves me a ton of time. I introduced my white sister-in-law, who has the kinkiest hair in the world, to it over a year ago. She'd asked me how I could get my hair so straight and smooth. "With a flat iron?" "No no, something more permanent and with much better results." She gladly forked over $300 last year and has since gotten it done again and will every year.

I hear you, sister! For others that suffer with poufy, frizzy hair all summer long, don't be put off by the high price tag. IT'S WORTH EVERY PENNY!! I first got it done during a trip to Japan and have gotten it again here in Halifax with the same great results.

Haha! In Singapore we call it Rebonding!

Thought that was what it's called everywhere else. But yeah, I can't count the number of people I know who's had their hair sort of permanently straightened on my hands, and they all loved it! Fuss-free silky smooth hair in an instant.

Your hair looks like those models'hair in shampoo ads!!!Amazing! But is it safe? Does it include a lot of chemicals?

Thanks! It is safe. It does use chemicals, but that doesn't mean they are harmful. The chemicals close up the cuticles in the hair and make it ultra-smooth. Your hair actually ends up looking much healthier. I still deep condition twice a week though, not to take it for granted.

Could you please tell us where you got this done. I live just outside ottawa and have been looking for a while for a salon which does TR in or around Ottawa

I got my hair done in Toronto actually. I don't know where in Ottawa you can get it done. However, I'd imagine there must be a Chinese or Korean salon that does this. Your best bet would be to call up some salons and just ask them. Good luck, darlng. If you really can't find any place in Ottawa, come on down to Toronto and I'll recommend one to you :)
